Our Mission
Support and strengthen family caregivers of older adults
through advocacy, education, and community resources.

Empower family caregivers in the Eau Claire area and
surrounding communities to improve their quality of life.

 

The Chippewa Valley Family Caregiving Alliance (CVFCA) is a non-profit, 501c3 organization consisting of volunteers representing area agencies and organizations, family caregivers of older adults, and community members committed to the needs and interests of family caregivers in the Wisconsin counties of Chippewa, Dunn, and Eau Claire. The CVFCA is funded through membership dues, sponsorships for the Annual Caregiver Resource Fair and Town Hall Meeting, grants, and donations.

We support caregivers in the Eau Claire area by:

Increasing awareness of caregiving resources
within the Chippewa Valley

Providing and promoting educational opportunities

Maximizing utilization of services

Advocating for the necessary program funding

Member & Committee Meetings

CVFCA members meet six times a year during the odd months, and the steering committee meets during the even months.

Annual Caregiver Resource Fair
and Town Hall Meeting

Held the second Monday in November from 4-8 PM
Peace Lutheran Church
501 E. Fillmore Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for family caregivers to learn about resources in the community, talk to the experts in the field of caregiving, voice concerns, and share experiences with other caregivers. The Town Hall Meeting provides a no-cost, catered dinner, and free on/off site respite care so caregivers can attend the event.

Caregiver Resource and
Education Committee (CREC)

CREC is a task force or subcommittee of the CVFCA. The primary focus of this group is to provide education and make caregiver resources readily available to employers and healthcare professionals. Brief meetings and/or presentations are provided to healthcare professionals and human resource managers in order to build their awareness of critical issues affecting caregivers, thereby gaining their support to take the time to identify patients and employees who are caregivers and make resources readily available to them.
